Candice-Elena Evans

After graduating with a degree in Fine Art, I joined London Glassblowing in 1994 where I first encountered hot glass, assisting the glassblowers and producing my own work. Since 2000 I have been organising glass exhibitions including Wearing Glass, ‘9by9’, and the British Glass Biennale.

Recent projects:

Under the business trading name 27fishes, I invite independent artists and curators to work with me on specific projects. In 2005/2006 I worked with Anna Hazelden, Marie Worre Hastrup Holm and Claire Gutteridge on Wearing Glass that showcased at the.gallery@oxo, London, 2005 and toured to the National Glass Centre, Sunderland May 2006.

Recently I organised the British Glass Biennale 25 August - 17 September 2006. A juried exhibition of excellence in British glass and part of the International Festival of Glass, Ruskin Glass Centre, Stourbridge. www.ifg.org.uk

I am currently working with Nulife Glass, developing products made from recycled glass. www.nulifeglass.com
