Wearing Glass 2005 was an open invitation to submit images to all artists using glass as a key material in contemporary jewellery and body adornment.
Thirty-nine artists and their collaborators, representing a dozen countries worldwide, were selected from the range of material that was submitted (as slides and digital). The selection panel included 27fishes and a representative of Association for Contemporary Jewellery.
This exhibition illustrates the diversity of glass as a medium for contemporary jewellery and its fascination for designers from different creative backgrounds and training, including sculptors, gold and silversmiths, product designers and jewellers as well as glass artists.
